THE IDEA CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT WILL RUN OVER 24 HOURS FROM 6TH NOVEMBER 2021 TO 7TH NOVEMBER 2021
Eligibility: The Peace + Freedom Challenge Idea Tournament is open to individuals who are at least eighteen years old.
Participation in the Idea Tournament constitutes the Participant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). The term “you” refers to you, the “Participant”.
Your Participation:
You can participate either as part of a pre-established team or on an individual basis. Team size of 3-5 participants is encouraged, with three being the recommended number. Individual registrants will be assigned to a team. Switching teams is discouraged.
The Sponsor, Local Organizers and Local Sponsors are not responsible for, and will not assist in resolving, any disputes between team members.
To participate, you must first register and then attend, either in-person or virtually, commencing at the start time on November 6, 2021.
You, as a Participant will be required to do the following:
- Working in your team, and in response to the presented challenge, develop an original solution that is entrepreneurial in nature. Entrepreneurial solutions can be executed by individuals and do not require political intervention.
- Present your selected solution by submitting a video entry, the “Entries”. The recommended duration of Entries is 5 minutes and videos must not exceed 10 minutes. If a video exceeds 10 minutes, it will be cut off at the 10-minute mark. Upload the video, according to instructions provided, by the deadline. Once submitted, Entries will be publicly accessible. Ideas submitted after the deadline will be displayed publicly, but will not be considered by judges.
- Participants may submit multiple Entries. In the event of multiple Entries, Participants will be asked to rank their Entries. Second ranked Videos will be screened after all first-ranked Videos, and so on. Incomplete Entries may be disqualified.
Scoring of Entries:
A panel of 3 to 5 people with relevant expertise will be responsible for judging Entries. The Entries will be judged according to consistently applied criteria, covering themes such as:
(i) Original/creativity
(ii) Innovation
(iii) analytical skills
(iv) strategic thinking and
(v) practical implementation
Ranking and prizes will be determined by each participating country. The decisions of the judges will be final. In the event of a tie, judges will deliberate to determine the winner. Judging will start approximately 10:00 am on November 7, 2021 and continue until all eligible submissions are reviewed. Each Judging will be conducted on the submitted video Entries during the judging period. The judging period may be extended by the Sponsor for any length of time, in Sponsor’s discretion. If a Judge is identified as having a conflict of interest, that Judge will be recused from judging the Entry with the conflict and the scores from the remaining Judges will be counted for the full scoring equivalent.
Each Entry must be original, of the Participants or Participant’s teams own creation and newly written during the Idea Tournament. “Newly pitched ” means that the Participants cannot in any way copy a pitch that already privately exists, and submit it as part of an Entry. Entries may be subjected to a due diligence review at any time for eligibility and compliance with these Terms. Determination of eligibility and compliance is at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry if the Entry or a Participant or Participant’s team does not comply with these Terms.

Participants represent and warrant that the Entry does not violate any agreement or obligation to any invention assignment, proprietary information, confidentiality, non-solicitation, non competition or similar agreement with any employer or other person. Participant represents and warrants that the Entry is and will be Participant’s own original work and does not and will not infringe the intellectual property or proprietary rights of any third party, including, without limitation, any third party patents, copyrights or trademarks.
